During your first visit, one of our trained technicians will perform a thorough inspection of your property — inside and out. We’ll identify any current pest activity, potential entry points, and conditions that could attract pests. Then we’ll walk you through our findings, recommend a treatment plan, and (with your approval) begin treatment the same day. The whole process typically takes 45–60 minutes.

In South Florida, we recommend quarterly (every 3 months) pest control service at minimum. Our warm, humid climate means pests are active year-round, so consistent treatment is key to keeping them out. Our Residential Protection Program™ is designed around this schedule, with additional visits available if needed between treatments at no extra charge.

Yes, especially in the first 7 to 14 days. Many treatments work by disrupting the pest's nervous system or reproduction cycle, not by killing on contact. Seeing increased activity after treatment is often a sign it's working. If activity hasn't declined significantly after 2 weeks, contact your pest control company for a follow-up.

Pricing and Financing
Questions about service costs, payment options, and DPS FlexPay™ financing.
We believe you deserve to know what you're paying before you call. Most pest control companies hide pricing to force you into a sales call. We publish our prices because we're confident in our value and respect your time. Transparent pricing is one of the core principles of how we do business.
Learn more: Pricing
Our monthly programs (RPP and PDS) are month-to-month with no long-term contracts. You can cancel at any time without penalty. We earn your business every single month by delivering results.
Learn more: Pricing
Lower-priced companies often cut corners: they use lower-quality products, rush through service visits, skip interior treatments, or hire less-experienced technicians. Some use bait-and-switch pricing where the advertised rate doesn't include what you actually need. We use professional-grade products, take our time on every visit, and stand behind our work with a satisfaction guarantee.

One-time treatments vary significantly by pest type. A German roach elimination program starts at $450 for a 3-visit protocol. Rodent services start at $150 for a Phase 1 glue board and trap setup, with the full Rodent Defense Audit™ starting at $600. Bed bug service starts at $350 per room. For general pest control, a one-time visit is typically more expensive per visit than enrolling in a recurring program.
Learn more: Cost Guide
In the short term, a single one-time treatment costs less upfront. But most South Florida homeowners need 2 to 4 treatments per year to keep pests under control at $150 to $330 per visit, that adds up to $300 to $1,320 annually with no guarantee. The RPP starts at $600/year with a pest-free guarantee and free re-service visits included. For most homeowners, the RPP delivers better value and better protection.

Service Programs
Details about our Residential Protection Program™, Perimeter Defense System™, and Rodent Defense Audit™.
The RPP covers a comprehensive range of household pests including roaches (German, American, and Smokybrown), ants (ghost ants, white-footed ants, big-headed ants, carpenter ants, and fire ants), silverfish, earwigs, spiders, wasps, centipedes, millipedes, and crickets. Our treatments are designed to address the most common pest pressures found in South Florida homes.
Learn more: RPP
The Perimeter Defense System™ (PDS) creates a comprehensive protective barrier around your entire property. We treat three key zones: Zone 1 covers the immediate foundation perimeter (0 to 3 feet from your home), Zone 2 extends to landscape beds, walkways, and hardscapes (3 to 10 feet), and Zone 3 addresses the outer yard boundary including fences, tree lines, and property edges. This layered approach stops pests before they ever reach your doors.
Learn more: PDS
The Rodent Defense Audit™ (RDA) is a comprehensive diagnostic pest control service that includes a full property inspection covering attic spaces, crawl spaces, wall voids, plumbing penetrations, roof lines, garage areas, and exterior perimeter. Our technicians document all findings with photos, identify entry points, assess the scope of activity, and deliver a detailed written report with prioritized recommendations for exclusion and remediation.

Termites
Questions about termite species, swarm season, treatment options, and costs in South Florida.
South Florida is home to three primary termite species: Eastern Subterranean termites (the most common, living in soil and building mud tubes to reach wood), Drywood termites (which infest wood directly without soil contact and are prevalent in older homes), and Formosan termites (an aggressive subterranean species that can cause severe structural damage rapidly). Our Termite Risk Mitigation Plan addresses all three species with targeted strategies.
Learn more: Termite Mitigation
Termite swarm season in South Florida typically runs from March through June, peaking in April and May. Subterranean termites swarm on warm, humid evenings after rain. Drywood termites can swarm year-round but are most active in late summer. Formosan termites swarm at night from May through June, often in large numbers near lights.
Learn more: Termite Swarm Season
The easiest way to tell them apart is the waist. Termite swarmers have a straight, thick waist with no pinch. Flying ants have a clearly pinched, narrow waist. Termite swarmers also have two pairs of equal-length wings that break off easily. Flying ants have unequal wings (front pair longer than rear). If you find a pile of shed wings near a window or door, that is almost always termites.
Learn more: Termite Swarm Season
Do not panic, but do not ignore it either. Swarmers inside your home mean an active colony is already established somewhere in or under your structure. Do not spray them with consumer insecticide — it will scatter them and make the inspection harder. Collect a few in a sealed bag or take a photo, then call a licensed pest control operator immediately.
Learn more: Termite Swarm Season
Yes. Subterranean termites travel through mud tubes built along concrete block walls, through expansion joints, and through any crack wider than 1/64 of an inch. Once inside, they attack the wooden roof structure, interior framing, door frames, cabinets, and any cellulose material. Concrete block construction does not make a home immune to termite damage — it just changes the entry points.
Learn more: Termite Swarm Season
Termite treatment costs in Miami-Dade vary by treatment type and infestation severity. Liquid soil treatments (termiticide barriers) typically range from $300 to $1,500 depending on linear footage. Bait station systems range from $800 to $2,500 with annual monitoring fees. Tent fumigation for drywood termites ranges from $1,200 to $3,500 for most homes. Dade Pest Solutions offers a Termite Risk Mitigation Plan starting at $300 with financing available.
Learn more: Termite Swarm Season
No. Standard homeowner's insurance policies in Florida do not cover termite damage. Termite damage is classified as a maintenance issue, not a sudden or accidental loss. This is one of the most important reasons to invest in preventive termite protection before damage occurs.

Cockroaches and German Roaches
Questions about roach identification, treatment protocols, and prevention.
Before your initial treatment, please: clean kitchen surfaces, stovetop, and inside cabinets; remove clutter from floors, counters, and under sinks; empty and clean under appliances (microwave, toaster, coffee maker); remove items from lower cabinets in kitchens and bathrooms where required; secure or remove pet food and water bowls; and vacate the premises during treatment until re-entry is confirmed safe by your technician.
Learn more: German Roach Treatment
A typical German cockroach elimination program takes 3 visits over approximately 4 to 6 weeks. The first visit targets the active population with gel bait, crack-and-crevice treatment, and growth regulators. Follow-up visits address emerging nymphs and any surviving adults. Severe infestations may require additional visits. Our program includes a 30-day warranty after the final treatment.
Learn more: German Roach Treatment
Seeing roaches in the first 7 to 14 days after treatment is normal and actually a sign the treatment is working. Gel baits and growth regulators are designed to be carried back to the colony, disrupting the entire population over time. Direct-kill sprays may seem faster but often scatter the colony into new areas. If you still see significant activity after 2 weeks, contact us for a follow-up.

Rodents
Questions about rats, mice, exclusion, and rodent control in South Florida.
The most common signs of roof rats in Miami-Dade homes include scratching or running sounds in the attic at night, gnaw marks on fascia boards or roof vents, grease marks along rafters, and droppings about half an inch long. Roof rats are excellent climbers and typically enter through gaps in the roofline, around pipe penetrations, or via overhanging tree branches.
Learn more: Pest Season 2026
Rodent exclusion is the process of sealing all potential entry points on your home to prevent rats and mice from getting inside. This includes sealing gaps around pipes, vents, roof lines, A/C lines, and garage doors. Without exclusion, trapping and baiting alone will only provide temporary relief because new rodents will continue to enter.

Ants
Questions about ant species, ghost ants, fire ants, and treatment in South Florida.
We treat all common South Florida ant species including ghost ants, fire ants, carpenter ants, big-headed ants, and white-footed ants using targeted baiting and barrier treatments tailored to each species.
Learn more: Ant Control
Ghost ants (Tapinoma melanocephalum) are best controlled with a combination of perimeter baiting, targeted interior gel bait placements, and moisture reduction. Because ghost ant colonies are polygyne (multiple queens), over-the-counter sprays typically scatter the colony and make the problem worse. A licensed pest control operator should apply slow-acting baits that worker ants carry back to all queens.
Learn more: Pest Season 2026
Over-the-counter sprays kill ants on contact but do not reach the colony. Most South Florida ant species have multiple queens and satellite colonies, so killing foragers only triggers the colony to produce more. Professional baiting systems use slow-acting products that workers carry back to the queens, eliminating the entire colony.

Bed Bugs
Questions about bed bug identification, treatment, and prevention.
Yes. Bed bugs can and do hide inside electrical outlets. Their flat, apple-seed-shaped bodies allow them to squeeze into the narrow gaps around outlet covers and into the wall cavity behind the outlet box. The warmth generated by electrical current makes these spaces especially attractive.
Learn more: Bed Bugs in Outlets
Yes, when performed by a licensed professional using EPA-approved products and proper application methods. The EPA requires all registered pesticides to undergo extensive safety testing, including reproductive toxicity studies. Professional pest control operators use targeted, low-exposure application methods that minimize contact.
Learn more: Pest Control & Pregnancy
Common signs include small reddish-brown bugs (about the size of an apple seed) in mattress seams, box springs, and headboard crevices; tiny dark spots (fecal stains) on sheets and mattresses; itchy red welts in a line or cluster on exposed skin; and shed skins or tiny white eggs in cracks and crevices. If you suspect bed bugs, call us for a professional inspection.

Mosquitoes
Questions about mosquito control, misting systems, and disease prevention in South Florida.
Yes. South Florida mosquitoes can transmit West Nile virus, dengue fever, and Zika virus. Aedes aegypti, the primary dengue and Zika vector, is active year-round in Miami-Dade. Culex quinquefasciatus, the West Nile vector, peaks in summer. Eliminating standing water and applying a professional perimeter misting program significantly reduces risk.
Learn more: Pest Season 2026
The Perimeter Defense System (PDS) is a professional mosquito misting program offered by Dade Pest Solutions. It involves scheduled treatments of the property perimeter, foliage, and harborage areas with EPA-registered products, combined with source reduction recommendations. It provides consistent, season-long mosquito suppression for residential properties in Miami-Dade County.
Learn more: Pest Season 2026
A mosquito mister system consists of a network of nozzles installed around your property perimeter connected to a central reservoir. The system automatically disperses a fine mist of EPA-registered insecticide at scheduled intervals, creating a continuous barrier against mosquitoes. Our systems use programmable timers and can be activated on-demand for events.
